The Revamp government of Gulu University has instituted the electoral commission to conduct the upcoming guild elections. On Friday, after instituting the electoral commission, the Guild Representative Council (GRC) members dissolved the government.
The vibrant Revamp government has reached the evening of its leadership. As required by the guild constitution, the GRCs constituted an electoral commission to conduct the upcoming guild election. This was the 8th and last GRC meeting where a number of issues like guild accountability, handover reports, including the electoral process, were discussed.
The speaker, in consultations with the Guild president and Minister for Constitutional Affairs, is mandated to select the executives and commissioners.
A team of 37 members were certified and approved, by the GRC house, to join the commission. These members went through the selection process like picking application forms, interviews etc.
