Gulu University has announced a rescheduling of final examinations for the Semester II of the 2023/2024 academic year.
In a notice issued by the Academic Registrar, Dr. Jerry Bagaya, the exams will now commence on April 22, 2024, and conclude on May 7, 2024.
The decision to adjust the examination dates follows a recommendation from the Quality Assurance, Timetable, and Examinations Committee (QUATEC), which was subsequently upheld by the Chairperson on behalf of the University Senate.
The rescheduling of the exams was prompted by a directive from the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Sports.
The directive mandates the release of all students to participate in the National Population and Housing Census, which is scheduled to take place from May 10, 2024, to May 20, 2024.
It’s important to note that while the examination schedule has been adjusted, other academic activities such as the Recess Term and School Practice remain unaffected.
Students and staff are encouraged to take note of the revised examination dates and make necessary adjustments to their schedules accordingly.
