Gulu University has revealed procedure to be followed by applicants who wish to appeal for admission to the 2023/2024 Academic Year.
According to the memo shared by the Academic Registrar Jerry Bagaya, specific rubrics have been outlined to guide the complainants.
“All persons who applied for admission to Gulu University but are not on the admission lists for 2023/2024 Academic Year accessible on the website www.gu.ac.ug and would like to appeal for admission must adhere to the following guidelines,” the memo reads in part.
- Only the applicants who applied online and paid application fees by the deadline date but are not on the admission list, either on account of errors in their application forms or wrong choice of programmes or wrong entry scheme or any other justifiable reason, qualify to appeal.
- Applicants can appeal for admission to any of the advertised programmes provided they are within the cutoff points of the programme(s).
- Download the appeal form from the website www.gu.ac.ug, print, fill the form, and attach copies of application form, application fee payment slip and academic documents.
- Scan and submit as one PDF file with the name in the format Scheme_Name (e.g., Direct Entry _Okot Jeremy) to the email admissions@gu.ac.ug not later than Friday August 4,2023. Appeals submitted after this deadline will not be processed.
Applicants have also been asked to take note of the following:
a) Refer to the website at www.gu.ac.ug for the adverts, minimum admission requirements, admission lists, cutoff points and programme codes and campuses.
b) The appeal process is free of charge. Any applicant who pays a fee, does so at his/her own risk.
c) Applicants are warned against presenting forged academic documents to support their applications. The consequences, if discovered, are grave.
