Gulu University Confirms Dates for 19th Graduation Ceremony

The Academic Registrar of Gulu University Dr. Jerry Bagaya has announced dates for the 19th Graduation Ceremony.

The event that will mark the conferment of degrees and award of diplomas and certificates will be held on Friday 9th February 2024 at 8.00 am. at Gulu University Sports Grounds.

Dr. Bagaya also instructed that COVID-19 SOPs including wearing a mask, social distancing, and washing hands with soap or sanitizing shall be strictly observed.

Gulu University prospective graduands have been requested to pa a sum of shillings 130,000.

This has been broken down as follows: Graduation, 100,000/ Convocation, 10,000/ Transcript, 10,000/-; and Certificate, 10,000/=

The steps below ought to be followed while making payments:

Open/launch a browser (Chrome, Mozilla, Edge, Opera, Safari) and type myportal.gu.ac.ug in the navigation bar to access the ACMIS Students Portal.
Login to your student portal account.
On the left panel, click on “PAYMENTS” and Select “MY BILLS/INVOICES”.
Click on “GRADUATION INVOICES” to view the invoice details,
Under “Actions”, click on “Generate PRN” (NOTE: The total amount on the invoice DOES NOT include bank charges).
Print the invoice OR correctly copy the PRN and present it as you pay the fees to any branch or an agent of the banks integrated with URA system.

Afterwards, the students will be required to do the following;

Collect clearance form from your Faculty/Institute Assistant Academic Registrar or access it on the University website www.gu.ac.uB
Complete clearance with the following officers: Head of Department and/or Faculty Dean/Institute Chief, Dean of Students, University Librarian, Security Officer and University Bursar, and submit the original copy of the Clearance Form to the Transcript Office, Department of Academic Registrar, by 19th January 2024.
Pick transcripts from their respective Faculties/Institutes effective 22nd January 2024.
Collect graduation materials from 5th 8th February 2024, from the Admissions Office, Department of Academic Registrar.
Provide their own gowns from authorized vendors. Samples, with respective Faculty/Institute colours, can be viewed at the Admissions Office.

The final graduation list will be released in the due course.
