Barely three weeks while attending classes of the courses on which they were admitted, the year ones have been presented with a golden opportunity of changing to any course of their choice. The academic Registrar Gulu University has invited all year ones to apply for a change of programme in the academic year 2018/19.

Circula on Change of Programme on AIMS 2018_2019 Academic Year

In a circular to the year ones, the academic Registrar Gulu University gave conditions which must be met before you are allowed to change. “The student must have enrolled, paid all general charges and at least 50% of tuition fees for the programme she/he has been admitted to and must have registered on AIMS”, reads a section of the circular. Other conditions are; having weights that are within range of cut-off points of desired programme hence meeting minimum requirements for the programme.

If a student is government sponsored, he/she must change to another government-sponsored programme, lest he/she will cease to enjoy privileges that come with government sponsorship. Much as a student may fulfil the above condition, the academic Registrar has cautioned students not to apply to change to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or Bachelor of Law.

The interested students have been asked to apply using AIMS (Academic Information Management System) on student’ portal  https://student.gu.ac.ug  and a fee of 20,000/= will be paid by each student that applies for a change of programme. The deadline for receiving application is Friday 7th September 2018
