The academic registrar Gulu University has released the approved academic program for the academic year 2018/19. It’s time for new members to start packing their bags as they wait for opening day. He has confirmed that the freshmen admitted to the mighty Gulu University, will be reporting on 11th August 2018.
The orientation week, for the first year students, will be from 13th to 19th August 2018. A number of activities and goodies have been lined up from the first years including University bazaar, fresher’s ball, year one welcome matches etc. The Prime Minister of Revamp Government, Mr Kiragga Abdul, has confirmed that the bazaar will be during orientation week. “Freshers should not frustrate themselves by carrying many things from far. We have prepared and partnered with many businessmen including telecommunications companies, Gotv at subsidised prices.” he added.
The continuing students are expected to be at university one week after the reporting date of the first years. The weekday lectures will begin on 20th August while the weekend lectures begin on 25th August this year.
The other interesting activities that you should look out for this semester, are interCultural University gala and the 11th East Africa inter-university games among.
