Gulu University atmosphere is surrounded by the famous Acholi Larakaraka noise (sound of a calabash) as guild candidates were nominated and the campaigns officially kicked off in high gear.
Six candidates are vying for the top spot of the students’ leadership. They include; Justine Aweto, Justine Ananga, Geoffrey Wanyama, Richard Bongowat Luganya, George Abudul, Justine Aweto, and Simon Lukyamuzi.
Students have been warned against violence during campaigns and a time limit of campaigns has been set. No candidate shall be allowed to campaign beyond 10pm.
The elections are set to take place on March 29.
