Gulu University lecturer, Rachkara Andrew was on Saturday gunned down by unknown robbers. According to unconfirmed reports, Rachkara was returning back home at 10pm from watching the world cup match.
“When we heard of the news, we drove immediately to his home in Pece only to find blood spots on his compound, some remnants of bullets (in two different colors) plus some miss fires that heat a small ovacado tree in the compound, the wall as well as his car. Blood spread on the bonnet and all round his small blue car packed on the compound and the another Toyota Land Cruiser UAT . . . .” Denis Okwera one of the late’s students told this writer.
“To me I imagined he was trying to dodge these heartless murderers in between those cars before they had finally killed him,” the student presumed.
Burial will take place on Wednesday at his ancestral home, Layibi Lacan Kwite. May his soul rest in peace.
