As Gulu University prepares for new academic year 2018/19, the office of the academic registrar has released the long awaited admission list to mighty northern-based Gulu University. According to the admission list, about 1,930 students will be admitted via direct entry on private sponsorship. Bachelor of Science Education (Sports Science) and Bachelor of Science Economics, each has only 4 students on private sponsorship. And Bachelor of medicine has 11 students while faculty of education has the highest admission with 241 students.
These private sponsored students will join the government sponsored students, whose list was released earlier. The students, shortlisted for government sponsorship, are picking their admission letters from the office of academic registrar Gulu University at the University offices. These admission letters are picked (in person) and not issued to third parties. “Please collect admission letter from admissions office, Gulu University main Campus on working days between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM”, reads section of notice from office of academic registrar. Students must present ID from previous school or National ID, O-level and A-level result slips.
The continuing students and student leaders have already set plans on how to welcome the new members. ”As the guild, in particular, we are super ready to warmly welcome them and usher them into mighty Gulu University”, said Kiragga Abdul, the Guild Prime Minister of Revamp Government. He added that Gulu is fertile with holistic approach of nurturing students in other aspects other than academics. The PM revealed that they have made arrangements to have all goods including hostel/room items, available during the Bazaar week.
The Freshers will be reporting on 11th August 20018, to start their journey at the university. Congratulations to all the shortlisted.
