In a significant move marking its entry into East Africa, Great Wall Motor (GWM), a prominent Chinese automaker, has officially launched in Uganda.
The company has partnered with Double Q Ltd, a reputable local distributor, to introduce its lineup of SUVs, pickups, and passenger vehicles. This partnership reflects GWM’s strategic expansion plan across Africa, aiming to provide Ugandan customers with affordable and high-quality vehicles backed by comprehensive after-sales support.
Under this new partnership, Double Q Ltd will handle sales, marketing, and after-sales services for GWM in Uganda. This includes maintenance, repairs, and spare parts supply, ensuring Ugandan customers experience top-tier service throughout vehicle ownership.
GWM’s Sales Director for Africa, Mr. Cheng, unveiled the range of vehicles at a new showroom located at Plot 20, Old Port Bell Road, Kampala, highlighting a diverse model lineup that caters to varied customer needs, including the GWM Tank 500, Tank 300, GWM P500, GWM P-Series, HAVAL H6, HAVAL Jolion, and the electric GWM ORA 03.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Cheng expressed enthusiasm about the potential for GWM in Uganda, emphasizing the company’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
“We are excited to bring our range of SUVs, pickups, and passenger cars to Uganda. This partnership will allow us to offer Ugandan customers a unique driving experience along with exceptional after-sales support,” he said.
