Makerere University Guild President elect Shamim Nambassa has come out to condemn yesterday’s bomb attacks in Kampala city.
The “vaccinate the junta” masterpiece creator took to her social media to alert Makerere University students of the imminent threat the terrorists pose on the innocent lives of all Ugandans
Shamim advised all Makerere students to always carry along their identification cards to easily differentiate them from any intruders.
“As we ponder on the parties and their motive behind these Kampala bombings, we need to take extra caution for our safety and be watchful for one another. You are also urged to have your IDs with you at all times. May God rest the departed and heal our country,” Shamim tweeted.
The caution comes in the wake of double explosions that happened yesterday, November 16 in Kampala Central near Kooki Towers and Parliamentary Avenue killing 6 and injuring 37 people.
Makerere University, like any other Public place is accessed by all sorts of people from different places and with different motives. Considering the current terrorism threats in the country, security is making all efforts possible to protect everyone both within and outside the University.
