The office of the Ministry of health yesterday denied knowledge of any medical interns especially those who have recently been holding strikes claiming that at the moment they have not yet taken upon any medical students as interns.

Speaking to the Parliament’s health committee, the minister Dr Jane Aceng told the members that for a person to qualify as a health intern, they need to be taken on by the ministry which at the moment hasn’t done so.

Among the issues discussed with the parliament health committee was the introduction of pre-entry internship tests to students and this to some members seemed unfair especially to those who had paid tuition fees to enter medical school.

However, with this Dr Aceng stood to her word saying that they do not want the society to be treated by incompetent students from the medical committee something she won’t accept.
