The Uganda Police Force has finally broken silence regarding the death of Arnold Mugisha, a co-founder of Hickory Restaurant and Bar located in Kololo.
According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Mugisha was shot in the mouth.
Owoyesigyire added that one of people who had gone shopping with Mugisha released a trolley which knocked one of the cars in the parking. Apparently, the deceased later accidentally knocked the foot of a security guard identified as Babu Awaze who retaliated with gunshots.
“Ainebyona remained in the car when his colleagues went shopping. After shopping, it is alleged that one of the three released a trolley which knocked one of the cars in the parking. Then in the process of reversing, the deceased knocked at the foot of one security guard known as Babu Awaze,” Owoyesigyire said.
The security guard was lynched to near death by boda boda men but was luckily saved by his fellow askaris and later taken to Kira Police Station.
As we earlier reported, Mugisha was today morning shot dead at Quality Supermarket, Namugongo where he had gone for shopping.
Mugisha’s body is currently undergoing postmortem at Mulago National Referral Hospital.
