The High Court of Mukono has issued an arrest warrant for Mathew Kirabo, a former Makerere University student pinned for murdering his girlfriend back in 2015. Kirabo is now wanted for the murder of 19-year-old Desire Mirembe in the mentioned year.
Kirabo, who is now a doctor at Mulago Hospital did not appear in Court on Wednesday, an act that forced the Judge to issue an arrest warrant for the former Makerere scholar.
“You are hereby directed to arrest the said Kirabo Mathew and produce him before me as soon as possible,” the arrest warrant reads in part.
.The arrest warrant comes weeks after reports indicated that Kirabo got himself a new lover who was warming up to introduce him to her parents.
Several social media influencers including Frank and Sheila Gashumba are celebrating following Court’s decision to arrest Kirabo again. The Mulago doctor was released a few years back after applying for bail in a bid to complete his studies.
It is alleged that Dr. Kirabo killed Mirembe while he was still a student of Makerere University after the couple reportedly conflicted in their love affair.
