MBALE: Responding to the recent rise in theft occurrences at Islamic University in Uganda main campus especially in the girls’ section and lecturers’ quarters, the security office on short notice held interviews in an exercise aimed at recruiting new security officers to beef up the security in and around the University.
The security officer IUIU, Mr. Ratif told our reporter that his office in conjunction with the IT department anytime from now are putting up CCtv cameras around all sensitive areas in the University starting with the main gate and the girls’ hostels, by the time of this update, all illegal exits through the University fence were being sealed off, a move aimed at limiting entrance and exit to only the gates with hopes that this will reduce on the theft occurrences.
