Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, has climaxed the fifth year’s internship training to 45 students from various learning institutions of Uganda.
The two month activity that began in June this year was climaxed today with students presenting research findings for a survey known as ‘Telecom in my eye’. The survey regarding telecom service requirements in Uganda has been part and parcel of the students training.
Mr. Benjamin the Human Resource Director congratulated the students upon a successful completion of the training and notified them of the job opportunities at Huawei after their school practice.
‘In the last one year, Huawei Uganda has created approximately 350 work opportunities for Ugandan students and experts, we look forward to increase this,” he added.
‘I commend Huawei Technologies Uganda for giving me a chance to practice, learn work ethics and also retaining me as a full time employee. I look forward for more training in their centers in China as I look to grow past my knowledge of university,” says Mark Mukiibi Allan, one of the interns for 2016.
The training that witnessed 45 students receive hands-on training in areas such as: application and software, transmission, datacom, core network, wireless, radio frequency, device business and public relations is a result of the Memorandum of Understanding for ICT partnership signed between the Government of Uganda and Huawei Technologies.
