The Deputy
It should be noted that the GRCs-Elect approached the top administrator yesterday afternoon in a bid to get an explanation on the origin and the motive of this policy. In other words, the new student leaders went to see the professor with a motive that the policy is neutralised or eliminated.
However, Prof. Fabian spit fire and arrogantly attacked the students and their leaders claiming that they were provoking him.
“I am not concerned for poor students. It isn’t my fault that they cannot meet the financial obligations on time. The University has to be run. Go back and tell the students that nothing has changed. Those who can clear the dues on time with pay and we shall continue,” said the Professor.
When the GRC-Elects tried to interject in a bid to explain Students’ interests, he attacked them.
“The bad thing is that you do not want to listen. I have met some of you before and you think that whatever you say is always right. This should change,” he continued.
He also confirmed that the policy exists and there is nothing that will be changed regardless of the hustle of the GRCs-Elect.
Prof. Fabian Nabugwomu’s narrative has leaked to the students’ fraternity and most of them are dissapointing in his comment on poor students. It is one of the aspects that forced forced them to rise up against the top Administrators after diplomacy and negotiation had failed
