“I Have Sleepless Nights Crying For People In Uganda” – Bobi Wine’s Son Explodes Online: Tells Nrm Supporters To Unfollow Him

Kampala, Uganda – The political storm in Uganda has taken a personal turn after Solomon Kampala, son of opposition leader Bobi Wine, delivered a blunt ultimatum to his online followers: if you support the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), cut ties with him immediately.

In a fiery Instagram story, Solomon drew a sharp line between himself and the ruling party’s supporters:

“If you are NRM or joyfully affiliated with NRM, unfollow and remove me as a follower.
We are not one.
We do not agree.
And we will never ever agree.
Unless a peaceful resignation of power or agreement is passed.”

The statement has sparked intense reactions, as the young Kampala openly rejected any association with the party led by President Yoweri Museveni, who has ruled Uganda for nearly four decades.

In a follow-up post, Solomon revealed the heavy emotional toll of Uganda’s political crisis:

“The people of Uganda have suffered too much.
I have sleepless nights crying for my people.
But one day we will be free.”

His words mirror the outspoken defiance of his father, Bobi Wine, who has become the face of resistance against Museveni’s government. Now, Solomon appears to be stepping into the spotlight himself, giving voice to the frustrations of a younger generation weary of political repression.

By telling NRM supporters to “unfollow,” Solomon Kampala has turned his social media platform into a political weapon—drawing a clear battle line between government loyalists and those calling for change.

Observers note that the move could energize young Ugandans online, many of whom see social media as the only safe space to express dissent in an environment where opposition voices are often silenced.
