Former Makerere University student Samuel Kabali has opened up about his love life with his campus darling, revealing that he proposed to her on his old university sofa.
Samuel Kabali, whose first ‘shot’ at winning a one Kristen Karamagi’s heart was successful, took a bold step to propose to her in his small rental, and on the same old couch he had while at campus.
The duo that met at an event in 2017 during ministry later caught feelings for one another which later saw Samuel share his surname with his sweetheart in a beautiful amalgamation ceremony.
“We became good friends. Later, we realized we had feelings for each other and he asked me to be his girlfriend in September that year.” Kristine says.
Kristine says though she didn’t expect such a proposal, she was happy that Samuel had to be himself, and most importantly, he proposed while her favourite song ‘Why I love you’ by Major was playing.
“He proposed a little over a year into the relationship. It was perfect with my favourite love song: Why I love you by Major.” Kristine says. “He asked me to be his girlfriend in the most intentional way ever and never let and doubt linger.” She adds.
Kabali advises couples to prioritize their lovers and not relegate them for they are the authors of their love.
‘Don’t relegate him to second place. He is the author of your love. Keep him first, always, and everything else will be added to you.’ Kabali advises.
The Kabali’s are one of the luckiest couples that have succeeded in maintaining their love life while and after campus. Most university students are fond of dating one another but few of those make it to the end; if one does, they definitely have reason to celebrate like the Kabali’s are.
