While addressing Makerere University Business School (MUBS) students yesterday, the Nakawa based university’s Deputy Principal Prof. Moses Muhwezi delivered a moving story about his humble beginnings. Prof Muhwezi was speaking at the launch of this year’s NSSF career expo which kicked off at MUBS Nakawa, a business branch of Makerere University.
While speaking to MUBS students about success, the University’s Deputy Principal assured them that they can always succeed- whatever the odds. According to Prof Muhwezi, successful people have reached up amidst all odds.
“You need to know my story, I come from a poor background, I never had shoes even up to senior five in Ntare but I chose to go to Ntare. No bicycle at home, nothing. I took the first Soda when I came to Makerere and I would see people drinking, I would wonder how does it taste…I wish I could taste. When I reached Makerere I tasted, but as they say, the rest is history, I am number two in MUBS,” Prof Muhwezi an attentive crowd of students at MUBS ADB building.
