Youngest Presidential Candidate John Katumba has broken the ice on his time at campus. The Makerere alumnus during an Interview with NBS TV Monday morning said that his time at campus was not all that rosy as he struggled to raise tuition to complete his degree.
“I had to wash people’s cars and more to see that I finish university – John Katumba.
Being President won’t solve my problems, but it is going to save Uganda. Uganda needs me now. I am the solution,” Katumba revealed.
The 24-year-old scoffed at naysayers and asserted that his dream of becoming the President of Uganda is valid. He said: “We have a mentality that nothing is possible. Katumba is here to tell everyone that everything is possible. The youth are trying to do everything they can. It is time for the youth to come out and say enough is enough and elect a leader like Katumba who is willing to work with you.”
On whether he is just a joker planted by the regime to divert public attention, Katumba said: “The opposition side is trying to divert me. Let them do the talking, Katumba is serious. The mere fact that he collected signatures, paid UGX 20 million and traversed all these areas, what more do they need to know that I am serious?”
We shall keep you posted.
