A Makerere University graduate only identified as Tandeeka on twitter, has vowed not to pick his transcript as a demo gesture of solidarity with his sister after the latter was denied from sitting her final exams at the same institution.
This comes at a time when students at Makerere are doing their end of semester exams. And even then, a number of them have decried the harsh treatment they have received over having tuition arrears.
A section of finalists who have faced a similar setback have cried out to the university administration to at least let them sit their exams and clear before graduation owing to the fact that no student can graduate without settling any tuition debts.
The students’ plea also suggests that students who have some amount on the tuition be granted opportunity to accomplish their exams.
