The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPA), through the Public Accountants Examinations Board (PAEB), has released examination results for the June 2022 sitting.
The results were released by the examinations board on Tuesday July 5th, 2022 at Protea hotel Kampala Skys.
A total of 4940 students sat for the June examinations, registering an increment in attendance in comparison to the October and December 2021 sittings.
138 students sat for the Accounting Technicians Diploma (ATD) examinations, 86 for the Certified Tax Advisor (CTA) and 4,716 sat for the Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (CPA) exams.
Isaac Odong emerged as the best student in the Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (CPA) Examinations while Ronaline Nuwagaba was the best female student.
Geoffrey Byamugisha the chairman PAEB urged students to always prepare adequately prior to the examinations to avoid failing.
“The board advises students to make adequate preparations and not to just make appearances at examination venues. It is adequate preparation rather than making an appearance that earns one a pass.” Byamugisha advised.
Students who are discontented with their results can apply for remarking within 14 days after the release of examination results.
PAEB had earlier released two sets of examinations making the recent release the third this year 2022.
The board expects to release another set of examinations by the end of year 2022.
