Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) has released examination results for the September 2022 examinations.
The Institute, through the Public Accountants Examinations Board (PAEB), released the results on October 4th, 2022 at Mestil hotel.
A total of 3,555 candidates registered for the September examinations and 188 of these didn’t turn up.
There was a registered decline in the performance of the 3,367 candidates that sat for the examinations.
98 students were able to complete their CPA course during the September seating, bringing the total number of those that have completed the course to 4,687.
The September examinations diet was the third this year, and the fourth – which was only introduced as a compensation package for time lost during COVID-19, is scheduled for December 2022.
According to Geoffrey Byamugisha, Chairperson PAEB, ICPAU will revise its syllabuses starting May/June intake.
Geoffrey says the syllabuses have already been approved by National Council for Higher Education and will be examined in June 2023.
