KYAMBOGO: After the gruesome incident that ended Ziya Leylon Zedrick’s life- a year II student of Bachelors Degree in Economics and Statistics at Kyambogo University, shock lingers over the Banda based university.
Yesterday, folks woke up to the terrible news of a one Felix Mutai allegedly stabbing his fellow hostel resident to death after a heated argument ensued. After finishing his last paper, Mutai, a first year student was overly joyed about finishing his exams. He then drunk to silliness and blasted high volumes of music. Eyewitnesses tell this website that the high Mutai blared music at maximum volume level making noise in the entire PanAfrican hostel, located in Banda.
Zedrick (the deceased who happened to be the neighbor was revising for his exams and because he could barely concentrate, he walked to Felix’s room to ask him that he reduces his volume which Felix didn’t heed to.
Other accounts (that Campus Bee can not independently confirm) have it that the two didn’t cross paths because they had a fling on the same girl. It’s at this point that the alleged killer pulled out a knife and hacked the second year student.
On realizing what he had done, Felix Mutai fled the scene and at the moment, is being hunted for by the police.
The deceased was the chairman of PanAfrican hostel and his body is still at Mulago. Burial is slated to take place at Kaproron in Kapchorwa. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
