Peterson Mwesiga is not new to the media. About two years ago, he was all over social media for graduating first in his class. He graduated with a first class degree in Electrical Engineering and a first class in the Bachelor of Laws at Makerere University. He later graduated with distinction after his Masters Degree at Pretoria University.
The lecturer at Makerere’s College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT) has done it again this year with an outstanding performance at the Law Development Center (LDC) in this year’s graduation ceremony. If LDC graded students performance based on classes, Mwesiga would have scored a first class. But this is not the case this time around.
Mwesiga graduated as the best overall student for the year 2017/2018 graduation ceremony that took place yesterday on Friday (21st June 2019) out of over 600 students who graduated that day.
During the ceremony, he was awarded a certificate of recognition by the Judiciary of Uganda for emerging “as the best overall student on the post graduate bar course for 2017/2018 academic year”. The Chief Justice Award is always given to best over all student every year.
One of his colleagues from LDC, and celebrated journalist Ivan Okuda, took to social media to celebrate him.
“Peterson Mwesiga the Giant from Ntungamo and the smartest UGANDAN I have met does it AGAIN! Congratulations” Okuda tweeted.
From here at Campus Bee, we celebrate and congratulate Mwesiga upon reaching these milestones.
