Owning an iPhone and being part of the iOS family is not just about gadgets and tech, it is a lifestyle. That is why you’ll not find a single iPhone user complaining about the prices of upgrades and/or even castigating Apple Inc for releasing a new iPhone almost each year.
In Uganda, the iPhone has been known to be a gadget possessed by only the elite few that can afford to spend millions of shillings on a phone and still maintain its lifestyle of paying for music monthly, Cloud space, and applications to mention but a few.
Socialite Lynda Ddane, the co-host of NTV Da Beat has made several firsts before but she probably didn’t see this one coming. According to iPhone dealers Sage Buyers (based at Kooki Towers Shop 544) the fleshy TV presenter is the first Ugandan to own an iPhone 13 Pro Max; the best iPhone in the world at the moment.
The revelation was made by the shop earlier this evening on social media when Ddane went to the shop and purchased the brand new set for her own convenience and lifestyle.
By press time, Campus Bee had not yet established which particular iPhone Lynda bought but just from simple research we have discovered that a brand new iPhone 13 128GB goes for Shs 4,180,000, a brand new iPhone 13 Pro is at Shs 5,190,000 while a brand new iPhone 13 Pro 256 GB goes for Shs 5,800,000 at Sage Buyers.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max 128GB is Shs 5,990,000, the iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB is at Shs 6,400,000 while the iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB Blue is Shs 6,500,000 at the same dealership – Sage Buyers.
The shop’s proprietor Stanley Ssempijja revealed that he had just received new stock and Lynda Ddane called him immediately to reserve a 13 Pro Max for her from the stock he had just received. She is the first Ugandan to make the purchase, according to Ssempijja and Sage Buyers.
