ISBAT University was buzzing with energy on Thursday as it hosted the Job Connect Festival, a career-centered event designed to bridge the gap between students and the job market.

The festival brought together students, recent graduates, and over 20 leading employers across industries for a full day of networking, career guidance, and recruitment opportunities.
Among the companies that showed up to engage with students were major players like Airtel, Kiboko Enterprises, Bolt Club Ltd, Bakertilly Uganda, Arirang Hotel & Restaurant, Uganda Tourism Board, Capital Radio, Galaxy Radio, Brighter Monday Uganda, Grant Thornton, Finance Trust Bank, Jubilee Life Insurance, Tembo Steel, and FUFA Media Services, among others.

Students had the opportunity to interact directly with recruiters, ask questions about hiring processes, and explore internship and job opportunities across sectors such as telecommunications, finance, media, hospitality, and manufacturing.

“This is not just about handing out CVs,” said an ISBAT University representative. “It’s about building real connections between employers and the next generation of professionals.”

The event also featured career talks and presentations from industry leaders aimed at preparing students for the job market, with emphasis on networking, personal branding, and soft skills.

With the success of this edition, the Job Connect Festival is shaping up to become a key platform for talent and opportunity to meet, right at the heart of Uganda’s growing job ecosystem.
