Today, ISBAT University commenced the orientation and induction program for its first-semester freshmen, including students enrolled under the institution’s loan scheme. The orientation marks the start of an exciting academic journey for the new cohort, who represent a range of nationalities and diverse academic interests.
The university has seen a significant increase in enrollments, particularly in its most sought-after programs such as Networking and Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Accounting and Finance, and Business Administration (BBA). This surge underscores the growing appeal of ISBAT University’s industry-aligned, cutting-edge curriculum.
In addition to these popular courses, there is a rising interest in technical and healthcare-related fields like Medical Imaging Technology (BMIT), Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT), and various engineering disciplines. Electronics and communication courses at the Lugogo based campus have also shown significant rise in demand among the enrolling students. These trends further establish ISBAT University as a key player in providing technical and healthcare education in the region.
The orientation was led by Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) Director of Corporate Affairs, Fred Otunnu, who addressed the students, emphasizing that discipline is the foundation of success in both education and life. Otunnu encouraged the new students to embrace values like dedication, integrity, and discipline as they embark on their academic journeys.
Mohamed Shameem, IT Head and Digital Marketeer at ISBAT University, noted a growing trend of students choosing to stay in Uganda for higher education rather than traveling to Western countries. “More students are realizing that the quality of education offered at ISBAT University rivals international standards,” Shameem said.
ISBAT University’s student body continues to reflect its global appeal, with students from various nationalities contributing to a vibrant and culturally diverse campus atmosphere. The energy and enthusiasm on campus are palpable as these new students set out on their academic paths.
“We are thrilled to welcome such a motivated and ambitious group of students, and we look forward to supporting them throughout their academic journey,” added Shameem, expressing optimism about the students’ future success.
As the orientation program progresses, ISBAT University solidifies its standing as a premier higher education institution, offering a wide range of programs designed to equip students with the skills they need to thrive in the modern workforce.
