Known for its generosity in making education accessed by many, ISBAT University has offered the top 5 winners from the previously concluded Miss Uganda 2023 pageant, 50% scholarships.
The 50% scholarships will serve for Bachelors and Masters level at ISBAT University.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Miss Uganda event – Ms Brenda Nanyonjo revealed how some of the top 5 are merely senior six vacationists who deserve a chance to good (higher) education.
“Some of the Miss Uganda contestants are senior six leavers. Some come from not-well off families and need to pursue higher education. We don’t only look at their appearance but so many things. Such a scholarship is useful in the lives of these young women to help them acquire knowledge they will use to start careers after university,” Nanyonjo said.
The beneficiaries of the scholarships include; Hannah Karema (Winner of Miss Uganda 2023), Martha Whitney Ademun (first runner up), Prossy Premah Agwang (second runner up), Jerusha Muwanguzi and Jessica Sserwadda who were finalists at the pageant.
Also in attendance of the event was, Airtel Uganda’s Managing Director – Mr. Manoj Murali.
It’s worth recalling that the winner of the Miss Uganda 2023 – Hannah Karema Tumukunde will represent Uganda at the Global stage.
