NBS TV presenter Canary Mugume has today morning opened up about several issues in his life while appearing on Sanyuka TV’S morning show dubbed Morning Xpress. First things first, Mugume clarified that his six-year relationship with Sasha Ferguson is still vibrant, forget rumours that the light skinned seasoned TV presenter was cheating on him with a loaded Zungu.

Mugume went deeper to clarify that the pair of twins he was photographed with aren’t his but rather belong to a friend.

“Twins are for one of my friends who I consider a brother,” Mugume said before adding that “ I have dated one girl for six years. She’s called Sasha and we’ve been together for six years.”

The NBS news anchor, who grew up in Mbarara went to Mbarara Municipal Primary School for primary education, Mbarara Secondary School, and Lutembe International School for secondary education narrated a journey that few people knew about.

Mugume’s journey to university wasn’t smooth as most students who join campus straight from A-Level. Apparently, Mugume applied to Makerere University but he was never admitted.

His failure to join Makerere did not deter him from moving on as he embarked on the hustle. Mugume took the grind to Equatorial Mall where was working at a Mobile Money outlet. Luckily, he was offered a scholarship at International University of East Africa where pursued Information Technology and Computer Engineering.

“After my secondary education, it took me three years to join university I applied at Makerere but I did not get admitted. To keep myself busy, I got a Mobile Money job at Equatorial Mall. Eventually, I got a scholarship at the International University of East Africa and I studied Information Technology and Computer Engineering there.” Mugume narrated.

The prudent youthful news anchor also opened up about his struggles in the media before he was discovered by NBS TV. Mugume once worked for Pastor Kayanja’s Channel 44 for two years before realizing that his career was stagnant. He was later introduced to Next Media Services CEO Kin Kariisa, a move that took his career a notch higher.

He apparently tried singing and modeling but all that didn’t work out. While in the modeling business, he was nominated the Upcoming Male Model in Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards 2014.
