It was an affair, not of food alone but also of drinking, dancing, cooking and meeting old cronies over a plate of ambrosia and washing down the aftertaste with a bottle of Club Twist. Awesome performances that kept the crowds glued to the stage especially the Zumba dance that left many single guys wanting a little more of the curvy ladies shaking off some stress on stage.
As Malaika Nyanzi won the celebrity cook-off since Denzel can’t cook, the guys of Nemoz Rollecks were serving their best rolexes that left many people wondering how they do their thing, they were also the 1st runner up restaurant, then there was the KFC bucket challenge and the cook-offs went on.
Even after the rain tried to disorganize the event, students still put on their Sunday best and flocked the Tokosa event site to eat, mingle and dance. Some students were heard saying that the Tokosa event is even better and more vibrant than the former Blankets and Wines that quite disrupted Easter.
Many people crowded the Club Twist tent because a meal served with a twist is not one to be forgotten, but then again the ladies that served the lemon flavored beer were not only good enough to be looked at but also gave one the feeling that food can only go with a twist.
One might be right to say that the ancient community meetings are back in the 21st century with a different twist, the tea parties and bonfires are now back as blankets and wines, Tokosa, and Nyama Fest. Otherwise, it was a good day to party, a good day to eat food and a good day to Tokosa.
