International University of East Africa (IUEA) will host the 2022 food security symposium.
Organized by Climate Change Action East Africa (CCAEA), IUEA has joined in as the hosts of the food security symposium and expo.
IUEA was unveiled as the host of the symposium on September 7th, 2022 at the event held at the Kansanga-based university.
Professor Emeka Akaezuwa, the vice chancellor at IUEA says the symposium will be a knowledge sharing platform on aspects of climate change.
“As strong believers in offering transformational experience for our students and stakeholders, the symposium will provide an arena for open discussion and knowledge sharing on the aspects of climate change, food security.” Prof Emeka said.
Mr Ronald Robert Lwabaayi, a team leader at CCAEA said the symposium will increase climate change resilience and food security awareness in East Africa.
The symposium is organized under the theme, linking climate change to food security, nutrition and wellbeing.
The three-day food symposium will begin on 14th September, and end on the 16th of the same month.
