According to a notice published by the University Academic Registrar dated 8th-October-2015, this year’s graduation event will be held at Kabojja campus (all females campus) not at the main campus as has been the case in the previous years on 12th-December-2015.
This has raised mixed reactions from the students fraternity as many are not satisfied with the University’s decision to shift this year’s graduation to Kampala based Kabojja campus, On contacting the guild body they informed us that they weren’t consulted before making the final decision and had written a letter to the University rector demanding explanations which by the time of this report had been verbally replied to and that the University rector had booked the Guild president and a few stake holders for a closed meeting, the verbal note also had booked the students fraternity for a public dialogue with the University rector on Friday evening at the management shade.
As the slogan is “At IUIU we don’t strike” We hope that this meetings won’t be a waste of time but a bed of yields.
