The Mbale based Islamic University in Uganda has promoted Dr. Umar Mwebesa Kajambiya, 51, to the rank of the Deputy Academic Registrar. He was also given other responsibilities as Coordinator International Students Affairs and Part-time Lecturer in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction in the Faculty of Education. He did a PhD in Education with specific focus on Curriculum & Instruction. His area of research was in Programme Evaluation using Stufflebeam’s Context, Input,
Process and Product (CIPP) Model of Evaluation at the International Islamic University Malaysia.
He also holds a Bachelors degree in Arabic Syntax and Morphology from Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), a Masters degree in Arabic Syntax and Morphology from the International Islamic University in Islamabad Pakistan(IIUP), a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education(PGDE) from IUIU and Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction from IUIU. After his promotion Kajambiya said “I am planning to hold series of workshops to sensitize IUIU staff about curriculum domains such as curriculum design, development, evaluation and implementation.
