The minister’s suspension is in effect until September 6.

“I hereby write to inform you that, unfortunately, due to recent incidents and violations of the university policies, I made a decision to suspend you from your role as Minister Campus Affairs effective immediately.” the letter reads in part.
“This decision comes after careful consideration and a thorough review of the situation. The violations in question include your collaboration with MSAU to coarse new students to pay a fee of 10,000 without any authority and this is not recognized as an IUSU activity.”
Campus Bee understands that MSAU (Muslim Students Association of Uganda) is an umbrella association of Muslim students at all Levels of education in Uganda.
The minister in question has been banned from participating in any student leadership activities, attending meetings, and representing the university in any official capacity.
