On Thursday 26th May, the Guild President of the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), Kakande Hafdwar attended the 2022 Kenya National Prayer Breakfast at Safari Park in Nairobi, Kenya.
Kakande and other guild leaders represented IUIU at the event that was held under the theme; “Transition.”
Speaking exclusively to Campus Bee, Kakande says the event is important to the guild leaders because the theme is focusing on the peaceful transition of powers.
“We are guild leaders now and we will also be leaders in our respective communities. This event is important to us as guild leaders because its theme is ‘transition.’ We have appreciated that handing over powers must be done peacefully and timely,” Kakande noted.
Guild leaders from East African countries attended the event. The president of Kenya His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto led participants during the auspicious event.
Kenya is set to hold national elections in August this year.
