Islamic University In Uganda [IUIU] Guild President, Mr. Mugamba Shahali has joined the ruling party, NRM, Campus Bee has learnt.
The shortest student at the Mbale based university who contested as an independent candidate on Monday the NRM Secretary General, Hon Justine Kasule Lumumba at the party headquarters in Kampala this Tuesday.
The meeting, inside sources say, was meant to devise means of strengthening the NRM structures in IUIU.

The two leaders also discussed several issues related to mobilisation of the youths to benefit from the NRM government programs.
Mugamba defeated two other contestants; Katende Jamaldin and a Somali Muhammad Dahir Dagane to become the Guild President of the Mbale based Varsity.
