The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) mourns the death of its Deputy Dean Faculty of Health Sciences, Professor Fred Kironde.
The Public Relations Officer of the University Miss Rehema Kantono says late Professor Kironde was a pillar of the University.
‘We learnt with deep sorrow about the death of our staff and Deputy Dean Faculty of Health Sciences, Professor Fred Kironde. #IUIU and Uganda at large has lost a great pillar and strong contributor of science research,”
“Prof. Kironde has been a very thoughtful and deliberate #academic leader whose wisdom and critical insights always enriched our staff and student’s lives,” Miss Kantono says in a statement.
The IUIU Public Relations Officer says late Professor Kironde was an advocate and inspiring academic.
“We cherish most his visionary leadership and clarity of thought, his consistent inspiration and encouragement to the staff and students of Biomedical Sciences. The IUIU community and especially Kampala Campus will miss this great advocate and inspiring academic,”

May the Almighty God grant him an eternal peace!” Miss Kantono says.
Late Professor Fred Kironde was a well known academic in Uganda and the world. Before joining the Islamic University in Uganda in 2014 ,late Professor Kironde was a Senior Lecturer of Biochemistry at Makerere University.
