The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), a University owned by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is among the four OIC universities in the world offered Chinese Scholarships for 2022-2023 academic year.
The People’s Republic of China through its Embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has announced the 10 scholarships under the OIC Educational Exchange Programme.
“The General Secretariat of the OIC presents its compliments to the OIC Member States and OIC Universities and has the honor to inform that the Government of People’s Republic of China has announced 10 scholarships under the OIC Educational Exchange Programme, for the OIC Member States for the academic year 2022-2023,” reads a statement issued by OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
A statement has urged OIC Member States and OIC Universities to publicize the information to benefit students.
“The esteemed Member States and OIC Universities are requested to publicize the information for the benefit of the students who are desirous of seeking scholarships. Duly filled application forms along with copies of relevant certificates and documents must reach the OIC General Secretariat not later than 2 May, 2022 at email: scholarship @oic-oic.org ,” the statement adds.
The OIC which is the world’s second largest inter-governmental organisation after the United Nations (UN) has four universities in the world namely the International Islamic University Malaysia, the Islamic University of Technology in Bangladesh, the Islamic University in Uganda and the Islamic University in Niger.
