A recent graduate of Islamic University in Uganda has died during the ongoing UPDF recruitment process, the institution has confirmed.
IUIU Public Relations Officer Madam Rehema Kantono has identified the deceased as Wakooli Ali.
Late Ali graduated with Bachelor of Human Resource Management on 9th November, 2019.
“On behalf of the Islamic University in Uganda, and on my own behalf I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to the family of Wakooli Ali, a BA. Human Resource Management graduate of the 2019 class who died this morning after successfully completing the first UPDF recruitment exercise at Maluku ground in Mbale.
” The entire University Community is saddened by the news of your loss and it is grieving with you,” she said.
According to Madam Kantono, the sports department has lost a referee, the Human Resource management class lost a course coordinator, but most all you have lost a son.
“He has passed on after completing the first run. He was a very disciplined young man,” Madam Kantono says.
Recently, another IUIU fresh graduate also died in car crush in Somalia.
