The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) has set a led committee to solve missing marks saga especially at the Faculty of Law (FOL).
In a statement that Campus Bee has seen signed by Islamic University Students’ Union (IUSU) Deputy Secretary Ronald Dennis Bukomba , the lead committee is comprised of guild leaders.
“The top administrators of IUIU have established a committee comprised of student leaders , and charged it with the role of receiving complaints over missing marks for both coursework , tests and exams,” reads part of a statement.
A statement says the university administration promises to solve all the issues concerning missing marks as soon as possible through the led committee.
“The committee will be headed by Mr Mutawo Godfrey a fourth year student pursuing a Bachelor of Laws and he was granted the powers to appoint members from all the seven faculties of the university. The administrators assured the student leaders that all complaints they record shall be handled as soon as possible,” says Bukomba in a statement.
Students, especially from the Faculty of Law have been complaining of their missing marks at IUIU Main Campus in Mbale. Two days ago, students threatened to protest over the issue that forced the university to deploy police to calm down the situation.
