Chinese Investors from Sino- Uganda Mbale Industrial Park have donated praying mats & Four Million Ugandan Shillings to 40 students of the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) Main Campus ahead of Eid-Fitr to be observed tomorrow, 13th May,2021.
The donation was made yesterday, Tuesday, 11th May, 2021 at the Park’s site in Mbale City. The Park’s Chief Operation Manager Kyle Feng says it is good to donate in Ramadhan. Feng says it is good to proper to donate in the holy month of Ramadhan as a way of celebrating with the Muslims.
In his remarks, IUIU Rector Professor Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda hails Sino-Uganda Mbale Industrial Park for the gesture in the Holy Month of Ramadhan.
“I am happy that Sino-Uganda Mbale Industrial Park has started a relationship with the Islamic University in Uganda. This is commendable that it is coming in the Holy Month of Ramadhan. A month of caring, forgiving and giving,” Professor Gyagenda says.
The IUIU Rector commends the investors for improving the people in Mbale city especially the youths who are employed at the industrial park.
“Let us work together for a better Mbale and Uganda. Thank you for transforming this place and create jobs to the youths including the graduates from the Islamic University in Uganda,” he says.
In her remarks, Mbale Resident City Commissioner (RCC) Miss Pamela Watuwa asked God to reward the Chinese investors for the donation.
“Thank you for giving back to the people in the Holy Month of Ramadhan. This is commendable. It is our prayer that God must reward you abundantly for the donation,” Watuwa says.
Sino-Uganda Mbale Industrial Park is one of 22 state-level industrial parks in Uganda, which were proposed by Ugandan President Museveni and China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi, approved by Uganda’s Ministry of Finance, organized and constructed by the Tian Tang Group. Since its launch, the project has won great attention and support from the governments of China and Uganda. Among others produced at the park include mattress and mats.
