Uganda Christian University (UCU) opened on January 4  for January Semester, however, campus Bee has realised that many students have avoided going for shopping in bazaar due to financial constraints.

The Bazaar is an activity organised by the UCU guild office. When contacted, one on the guild officials present at the the shopping ground also attributed the low turn up to bad timing.

”You know this is the January semester, there are usually very few students,” the official said.

UCU divides the students in two different semesters. Some students report in January and then study until April, while the other lot comes from May to September.

The January Semester has few students compared to the other semester that constitute the majority.

“We hope as time moves on, there will be a slight increase in the turn up,” the official continued. “It is also very sunny these days. It is a very big hindrance to the success of the Bazaar.”
