A Uganda Police Force constable, a one Anthony Aliyu has been put behind bars for shooting and injuring a Makerere Univeristy student who was reportedly rubbing shoulders with his girlfriend.

It is said that Aliyu caught red-handed his girlfriend Christine Asekenye, 26, who was seated in Kikumikikumi with a Makerere University student only identified as Kizito. The jealous police officer is said to have opened fire and shot the two suspected lovers, an act that left the two seriously injured on Tuesday morning.

Aliyu has been suspecting Asekenye for cheating on him until when he finally caught her with another dude at a food joint located in Wangegeya, Kikumikikumi. As the two undergo treatment at Mulago Hospital, Aliyu is currently being detained at Wandegeya police station, who will later be charged with attempted murder.

It is still unclear how Aliyu busted the two despite the fact that he works from Mulago police station, which is located few meters away from Wangegeya.
