JUST IN! Makerere University Lady Councillor Appointed Deputy Lord Mayor

Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, has appointed Makerere University LCV Woman Councillor as his deputy Lord Mayor after the resignation of his hitherto deputy Ms Sarah Kanyike.

Lukwago had given Kanyike an ultimatum to resign, after President Museveni named her among a list of Directors that he sent to City Hall to help in the technicl administration of the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).

Museveni nominated Kanyike for the position of Director Gender, Community Service and Production at KCCA while she was still in service as City Deputy Lord Mayor.or the position of Director Gender, Community Service and Production at the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).

The president also nominated OPM’s Dorothy Kisaka as the Executive Director, David Luyimbazi Ssali as her Deputy, Dr. Daniel Okello Ayen as Director Public Health and Environment and Public Service’s Grace Akullo, as the new Director Human Resource and Administration.

Nyanjura has also been Minister for Finance & Administration at KCCA.
