Kabale University will today bid farewell to one of its outstanding servants.
The university confirmed the sad news regarding the death of Dr. Denise Kavuma who served as a doctor and lecturer at the Kabale University.
“We announce, with deep sadness, the demise of Dr. Denise Kavuma, a doctor and lecturer at the Kabale University School of Medicine (KABSOM). Our deepest condolences go out to her family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time,” Kabale University publicized.
By the time of death, Dr. Kavuma diligently executed her duties as a medic and Head of the Ophthalmology Department at KABSOM.
She was well equipped with formidable qualifications like;
- MSc Public Health for Eye Care – London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, 2019
- Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology – Mbarara University of Science and Technology, 2018
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery – Mbarara University of Science and Technology, 2013
Burial arrangements have already been set and the formidable academician will be laid to rest on Friday, 9th December 2022.
Dr. Kavuma’s final resting place has been identified as Kavule – Mpigi District.
