KIU Director Basajjabalaba thanks Museveni for arresting Kayihura

While addressing graduands at Kampala International University’s 18th graduation ceremony today Saturday June 23rd, the Chairman Board of Trustees KIU and city Businessman Hassan Basajjabalaba thanked president Museveni (also guest of honor at the ceremony) for firing and arresting Gen. Kale Kayihura the former Inspector General of Police (IGP).

“Your Excellency, I would like to thank you and tell you that sacking and arresting the former IGP was the best decision. Your Excellency, you are very lucky, you are golden, you should go to church and pray to God because God likes you,” Basajjabalaba told President Museveni.

The KIU Director also said the many people died when Kayihura was at the helm of Police.

However, President Museveni did not mention anything about Kayihura’s arrest throughout his speech. He saluted Basajjabalaba for his entrepreneurship skills. “Basajjabalaba does not sit on his talents, sometimes he fails, sometimes he succeeds. So I salute him for that quality,” President Museveni told KIU graduands.

The president urged KIU graduands to emulate their director and be entrepreneurial and avoid being “idle”.
