Kampala International University (KIU) continues strengthening its academic health sciences courses. The recent deal making rounds is that KIU has penned down a memorandum of understanding with Apollo Hospitals in India for training of more specialists.
According to this agreement, KIU will also be able to handle joint research, train patient referrals, telemedicine, get support with equipment assessment and more health related awareness from its collaboration with Apollo Hospitals.
The deal was signed in the presence of the university Vice Chancellor Dr. Mpezamihigo who was also accompanied by the VC KIU Dar es Salaam, Florence Tushabe.
This adds to KIU’s more health related surprises following its recent pledge to provide free medical services to Kansanga community using its recently upgraded clinic.
“We shall make sure that the community around us benefits from this clinic since they are the security to the University” – Dr. Mouhamad Mpezamihigo, Kampala International University Vice Chancellor revealed a few weeks ago.
