KIU Student Was Smoking Weed When he Jumped Down to Near Death, Thought he Could Fly – Reports

Rugero Daniel, the Kampala International University (KIU) law student of second year who jumped down his hostel on Monday had been smoking weed and attempted to fly, onlookers have told Campus Bee.

There are several other accounts by onlookers on what might have transpired before the student almost lost his life that day and one of them is the above. The other is that he had received a call which might have delivered very sad news that tempted him to walk to the balcony and jump off.

The last account, which hostel authorities claim is what transpired, was that he was used to sliding down a pipe on the hostel instead of taking the stairs. On that day, he was unlucky and the pipe broke which prompted him to jump down and nearly die.

Rugero is currently admitted at Nsambya Hospital, where 10M is required to fully operate on him. Reports say he has no internal bleeding but only shattered his skull when he fell down.
